He was 13 years old when he starred in Elem Klimov's war drama "Go and See". The role of the Belarusian boy Flera, who survived the horrors of war, shook the audience to the core. Years later, Aleksey Kravchenko (Aleksey Kravchenko) reappeared on the screens - a real superman, tough, strong-willed, playing with his own muscles and people's lives. Today on the account of the artist dozens of diverse roles in movies and plays, making him one of the most popular and sought-after actors.
Childhood and teenage years
Alexei was born on October 10, 1969 in Moscow. His parents divorced when the boy was still very young. Further upbringing of the son was occupied by his mother.
In childhood, Lesha grew up a real hooligan: already in the first grade began to smoke, broke the glass in the windows, could ride on the foot of a freight train. For his mischief future actor even stood on the record in the children's police room, but, becoming older, took up the mind. In his school years, Alexei became interested in playing the guitar, began to attend a jazz studio, later organized his own group. In high school, the guy seriously interested in bodybuilding, could become an excellent athlete, but, as often happens, the case intervened.
At the age of 13, Alexei in company with a friend came to the audition for the movie "Go and See". Blue-eyed boy with blond hair seemed to the creators of the picture suitable candidate, and the director of the picture Helen Klimov asked Kravchenko to imagine that he had a dead mother. The reaction was incredible. Alexei began so heartfelt sobbing and wailing that all present on the set had no doubt: they found the performer of the main role.
The movie "Go and See" was about a sixteen-year-old boy who, having experienced the horror of the punitive action of the Nazis, turns from a carefree young man in the broken war "old man". Filming lasted about a year. To create the image of exhausted teenager, Alexei had to go on a diet and lose a lot of weight. During the filming, the director forbade the guy to see his mother, and about half a year the young actor lived alone. These efforts were not in vain: the entire crew of the film was awarded the State Prize of the USSR. Alexei because of the young age of the award did not get. His fee for his role in the movie amounted to 3200 rubles.
A year of continuous filming could not help but affect Alexei's academic performance at school. Because of the numerous absences, teachers did not want to transfer Kravchenko to the 9th grade. Since at that time the guy already felt himself the head of the family and a provider, he decided to leave school and go to vocational school.
Having received the profession of a milling machine operator, Alexei worked for some time at the factory, then served in the Navy for 3 years. After the army, he again met director Elen Klimov, who advised the young man to enter a theater university. Of all educational institutions, Alexei chose the Shchukin school, and easily entered there. On the course of Alla Kazanskaya Kravchenko was one of the best students. From the walls of the "Shchukin" he came out with a red diploma.
