Anatoly Vasilev (Anatoliy Vasilev) is a popular theater and film actor, beloved by Soviet audiences after the screening of Alexander Mitta's film "The Crew". To date, his track record has several dozen bright works, including the role of Yuri Kovalev (grandfather Yura, Anatoliy) in the popular TV series "Svaty".
Childhood of the actor
The future actor was born on November 6, 1946 in Nizhny Tagil. The boy's father was an influential functionary. Mom took care of the house and brought up her son. It was she, being a passionate theatergoer, instilled in Anatoly a love of art from childhood.
When the boy was 9 years old, his father was promoted, and the Vasilyevs moved to Bryansk. In the new school Tolya easily made friends and became the soul of the company. Those around him liked it very much when Vasilyev played the guitar and sang songs, imitating the Beatles.
In Bryansk, the future celebrity began to attend the school drama club and soon caught fire with the dream of becoming a professional actor. His father did not share his son's passion. When Anatoly was about to submit documents to a theater university, he insisted that he got a serious profession. The guy obeyed and entered the technical school of mechanical engineering, but soon realized that he made a mistake: this field of activity did not interest him at all. Anatoly abandoned his studies, went to Moscow and, having successfully passed the exams, became a student of the Moscow Art Theater Studio School.
Creative career
After graduation, Vasilyev was accepted into the troupe of the capital's Theater of Satire. 4 years of service on this stage became an excellent school for a novice actor: he had someone to learn from.
During the next 22 years Anatoly Vasilyev worked in the Soviet Army Theater. Audiences well remembered the actor for his roles in the plays "The Dawns are Quiet Here", "Macbeth", "The Idiot".
In 1995, the actor moved to the Mossovet Theater, where he serves to this day. It was here that Vasilyev played his best roles in the performances:

A year later, the actor played a major role in the movie "The Crew", which became one of the most significant events in his creative biography and gave him nationwide love. And critics and viewers admired how accurately, subtly and truthfully Vasiliev embodied on the screen personal drama pilot Nenarokov, who after a difficult separation from his wife was deprived of the opportunity to communicate with his own son.
However, this character almost made the actor his hostage. For a long time, the roles that offered to play the actor, resembled one another, and projects in one way or another related to military themes. Gradually Anatoly Vasilyev managed to move away from the usual role. In the 90's, his filmography was replenished with films in which the actor played the role of archaeologist, free artist, aristocrat-vampire.
A new round of popularity Anatoly Vasilyev began thanks to the series "Matchmakers", in which he appeared in the image of one of the grandfathers of Zhenya Kovaleva. The actor really liked the script, he willingly worked in the project, but unexpectedly for all left it in the fourth season. The reason for leaving was a disagreement that arose between the actor, the creators of the series and Fedor Dobronravov, who played in "Matchmakers" second grandfather.
Vasilyev was not left without work. Despite his far from young age, he continues to play in the theater, often starring in films. His latest projects on the big screen were the films "St. Andrew's Flag", "Miracle Worker", "The Eighties".
Personal life
About his personal life, the actor does not like to spread, about some details of his failed marriage, he does not even want to remember.
The first time Vasilyev married in 1966. His wife was a classmate Tatiana Itsykovich (now a famous actress of theater and cinema, who became famous under her husband's surname). Later, the artist admitted that he had no special feelings for the girl. Tatiana, who really liked the young, charming guy, herself took the initiative. Anatoly was impressed by such pressure. When the girl proposed marriage, Vasilyev agreed. In 1978, the couple had a son Philip, who followed in the footsteps of star parents and became an actor.
After the arrival of the baby in the family problems began. Tatiana, possessing a rigid authoritarian character, wanted her husband to obey her in everything. Anatoly had to listen to endless reproaches and endure the hysterical attacks of his wife. When the boy was 5 years old, the spouses divorced. The reason for the breakup was Tatiana's cheating and her departure to actor Georgi Martirosyan.
Divorce was not easy, having parted, the spouses finally interrupted the relationship. The ex-wife did not allow Vasilyev to see the boy. Father and son did not communicate for about 15 years. They reconciled only thanks to Philip's wife Anastasia. With his former wife, the actor did not establish relations.
A few years after the divorce Vasilyev met a new love and married a second time. Soon the couple had a daughter Varvara.
The actor is very dear to his family, tries as often as possible to be with his grandchildren - the children of his son Philip.
