Andrey Makarevich (Andrey Makarevich) - a famous musician, composer, producer. He is the leader of the collective "Mashina Vremeni". He is actively engaged in both public and political activities.
Childhood years
The future musician was born in Moscow. The year of birth was 11 December 1953. Andrei's mother was a doctor-phthisiatrist, and his father, a former front-line soldier - a teacher at the capital's architectural institute.
As a child, the boy wanted to become a diver, then - herpetologist. For some time he studied insects, then became interested in swimming and skiing. His father tried to instil in him a love for music: first he taught him to play the piano, and then enrolled him in a music school. But the boy was quickly bored with his studies, and he abandoned it.
He was not interested in classical music, but bardic music - very much so. And at the age of 12 the boy learnt to play the guitar and began to write his own songs.
When Andrei Makarevich heard the compositions of The Beatles, he immediately became their fan. This was an important moment in his biography, which determined the further destiny of the guy. Being under the impression of what he had heard, at the age of 15 he formed The Kids. Later the group became known as "Time Machine".
After graduating from school, the guy entered the same institute where his father worked, but 4 years later he was expelled for his addiction to rock music. However, later he recovered and still finished his studies.
Musical career
Makarevich's main passion has always been music - even during his studies. In 1975, Andrei, together with his band, participated in the "Musical Kiosk". However, the record never made it to TV. In 1976 the young musicians performed brilliantly at the festival in Tallinn, winning the main prize. There they had a meeting with Grebenshchikov, who took the young talents under his tutelage.
In 1980 Roskonzert offered the band a contract. After signing it, the group became legal, and Andrei himself officially began to be considered a musician. Then began performances all over the country. The guys from the group also shone a couple of times in the film industry.
Periodically, Andrei Makarevich sang at concerts alone. Thus, he combined his bardic performances with work in the group. Compositions of the group, he did not perform, only sometimes making exceptions when he was asked to sing a hit.
In the 90s, the musician recorded new albums together with "Kvartal" and "Fern". Then he also produced the record "Okurochek" by Aleshkovsky.
In 2001 he became the organiser of the project "Creole Tango Orchestra", where the bands performed:
- "Mashina Vremeni";
- "Fern";
- "Kvartal";
- "Igor Boyko Band.
Together they experimented with pop-jazz music, which was popular in the USA.
TV appearances
In addition to music, Makarevich was fond of TV. In 1993, the ORT channel offered him to host the cooking programme "Smak". Some time later, the singer created his own TV company. It produced a total of about 15 projects, which included programmes about:
- music;
- travel;
- the underwater world.
The programme "Smak" the musician led until 2005. For this his fans jokingly called it "Smakarevich". Since 2006, it was hosted by Ivan Urgant. And Andrei Makarevich again appeared in the programme, but already as a guest.
Political activity
To the power of the USSR, the singer had a negative attitude. His views were best seen in the lyrics of compositions. In particular, such a song as "Wind of Change" was very popular during perestroika.
In his time, the musician supported Yeltsin, then - Putin, then - Medvedev. And for this purpose he performed more than once during election campaigns. But at the end of 2011, he burst into sharp criticism in the direction of the current government. His main complaints were the high level of corruption and the "unworkable" judicial system. In addition, he supported Khodorkovsky and the Pussy Riot collective.
In 2014, the musician did not want Crimea to be annexed to Russia. He performed a lot in Ukraine, while cancelling planned concerts in St. Petersburg and other cities of the Russian Federation.
After 2016, the musician no longer discussed politics. Interviews on such topics also no longer gave.
Personal life of the singer
During his life, Andrew was married three times. With his first wife Lena, he lived for 3 years.
In 1986, the musician married Alla Golubkina. A year later, a boy Ivan appeared in the family, but almost immediately followed a divorce. The child also liked music, but in the end he chose cinema, having shone in "Shadow Fight" and "1814".
Since 1998, the musician lived in a civil marriage with Anna Rozhdestvenskaya. In 2000, she gave birth to his daughter, who was named like her mother.
In 2003, the singer's personal life received a new development - the third official marriage with Natasha Golub took place. After 7 years, the spouses divorced.
In addition to two children, the musician has an illegitimate daughter Dana (born in 1975). She communicates with her dad - although she lives in Philadelphia.
