To do this, he even began to play KVN with his older brother. First, as a joke writer, then as a participant in milestones of performances.
After graduating from high school, Arthur entered the Higher School of Economics. After studying for 3 months, he realized that all this was not for him, dropped out of school and decided to seriously engage in humor.

The beginning of the future stand-up artist's creative activity was not easy. Chaparyan tried to publish his jokes on social networks, participated with his brother in the musical and humorous project "Armenian Lane", tried to create his own show to perform with him in the capital's clubs. Later, Arthur began to go on stage himself. Very quickly, his performances became a success. The audience appreciated the comedian's non-standard humor, based on observations from life, and his unhurried presentation, devoid of any pretense.
At that time, the "Stand-Up on TNT" project was just launched. Realizing that he could be the key to a successful stand-up career, Arthur applied to participate in the qualifying festival, reached the finals and got the opportunity to get on the channel.

How Arthur sold the "Ex"
But the comedian's most famous brainchild is rightfully the Telegram channel "Ex", created in 2017. The content looked like messages that a girl throws at a guy after breaking up with him.
The channel was promoted overnight. Not only subscribers, but also advertisers became interested in him. The "ex" began to bring in a good income. In a few months, the number of subscribers reached 75 thousand people, and the channel itself became one of the most viewed in Telegram.
But over time, the topic began to exhaust itself. Get rid of the "Ex"Artur Chaparyan decided in a very original way, selling it for 1.2 million rubles. However, later the comedian found out that he had lost: according to an independent expert, the channel costs at least 3 times more expensive.
The new owner of the "Former" wished not to disclose his real name. For 4 years, the channel was resold several times, until Chaparyan bought it back, and for less than he sold it. In just one day, its audience increased by 15 thousand people. But a few days later, the comedian decided to say goodbye to his "Ex" for good.
Personal life of Arthur Chaparyan
The comedian jokes a lot about unsuccessful romances – his own and friends' – and willingly. But he prefers to keep silent about what is happening in his personal life now. In the photos that the comedian posts on social networks, he can most often be seen in the company of friends and colleagues. Arthur is not ready to get married and have children yet.
Stand-up comedian now
In the last two years, Chaparyan has not given concerts in Russia, although he continues to conduct business there. He spends most of his time in Yerevan, where his parents live. In the near future, the comedian plans to obtain a visa and move to the United States, where Arthur is going to continue his career as a stand–up artist.
Interesting facts
The comedian has always admired the work of Louis C.K., Chris Rock and Bill Behr.
According to Arthur, the messages that were published in the "Ex" could have been written by both a girl and a guy. But calling the channel feminine was more profitable from a marketing point of view. Men would hardly want to subscribe to an "Ex."
Among other things, the comedian tried himself in the creation of TV series. The producers were delighted with the stories he wrote. But Arthur's enthusiasm quickly dried up, and he abandoned the idea.
