Basta

Basta (real name Vasily Vakulenko) is a Russian rap singer, songwriter, actor, director, television host, producer, and co-owner of the Gazgolder label. The singer's birthday is April 20, 1980.

The beginning of the career

The father and mother of the future star were far from the world of art, but, noticing that their son has talent, gave the boy to a music school. At first, Vasya was engaged without much desire, but then began to be seriously interested in rap culture and even wrote his first text. The debut was very successful, and the guy decided to continue his musical education. After school he enrolled in a conductor's school, but very quickly realized that it would bring nothing useful for him, and left, barely finishing the first course.

In 1997, 17-year-old Vasya Vakulenko, who came up with the pseudonym Basta Khryu, began working in the group "Psycholirik". It was as part of this rap collective, later renamed "Kasta", the musician presented to the public his first song "City". It was followed by a number of other compositions, which the author to this day considers to be significant for his creative career. During the same period, Vasya and his friend Igor Zhelezka made a "tour in the south of Russia", performing at numerous venues. The audience met them well, but the real fame was still far away. Not having achieved the desired, Vakulenko decided to take a break for a while.

Return to show business

Basta resumed his creative career only in 2002, when his friend Yura Volos offered to create a recording studio at home. In the piggy bank Vakulenko had several dozen compositions, but it was not so easy to find someone who would be engaged in their promotion. The young people had to do a lot of hustling until their demodisc did not fall into the hands of the popular at the time Bogdan Titomir. Thanks to him, the musician found himself in the creative association "Gasgolder". It was in this label that his first album called "Basta1" was released. It united 19 tracks, the most famous of which is the composition "My Game". This song is a real legend, the rapper performs it during every performance.

The year 2007 became in the biography of Basta truly pivotal. At this time, his second album was released, including 17 songs, as well as a number of bright video clips. The disk was a huge success - the circulation of 50 thousand units was sold in 3 months. In addition, the talented musician was interested in the creators of computer games. Soon his song "Mom" sounded in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Among other things, the singer becomes a co-owner of the label "Gasgolder" and begins to create under the new pseudonym Noggano. There are 3 more albums of the artist:

Vasily does not stop at what has been achieved. In 2011, he again decided to surprise and delight the public by releasing another album in a very unusual style under a new pseudonym Nintendo. A few years later, Basta managed to combine two seemingly incompatible things and became one of the first Russian rap artists to perform with a symphony orchestra. Another surprise for the public was the participation of the idol of millions in the popular TV project "The Voice".

In his personal life, everything is great

Basta's personal life was successful. His wife was Elena Pinsky, the daughter of a popular journalist and an entrepreneur who deals with the realization of expensive wines. Being a longtime fan of this direction in music, she has always admired the creative work of Vasily. Not thinking long, the girl herself met with the artist and practically took him away from under the crown.

In 2009, Vasily and Elena registered their marriage, and then got married. Today the family has two daughters growing up - Maria and Vasilisa.
