Childhood and youth of the actor
Garik Kharlamov was born on February 28, 1980 in Moscow. The real name is Igor, although the first three months he was called Andrew. "Garik" nicknamed already at school, and this name led him further in life.
Passion for jokes developed in him from an early age: his grandfather was a famous humorist, his father and mother also loved and knew how to joke. As a child, Igor arranged performances for family and friends, amusing them with his improvisations (prepared jokes he despised even then).

When Igor's parents decided to divorce, his father left for Chicago. The boy was left in his mother's care. They lived rather poorly. After graduating from school, his father took him to America.
Life in Chicago
Coming from the United States, Garik was completely unfamiliar with English. But, not having a language base, he managed in a few months to reach such a level that he not only spoke fluently, but also joked quite successfully.
In America, he successfully passed the selection in the school "Harend", and began to learn from the legendary Billy Zane. Being still a teenager, Kharlamov participated in many productions, plays, musicals.
In the west, it is customary for students to live on self-support. Garik did not break tradition and worked part-time in "McDonald's", then sold cell phones.
After five years of such a life, he decided to return to his homeland. By this time his mother had a new family and gave birth to twin sisters. America became a good school of life, Igor determined his values, set priorities, realized what he wanted to do, and learned a lot in terms of acting.
The beginning of a great creative path
Upon his return, Igor Yuryevich and his brother decided to try out the American experience in Russia: they walked in the subway and on the Arbat, told jokes, anecdotes, sang to the guitar. Humor was his calling, he dreamed of becoming an actor, but under the influence of his mother he entered the State University of Management (specialty "Personnel Management").
