Biography of Garik Sukachev
Garik Sukachev (Garik Sukachev) is a legendary rock musician and singer, a wonderful poet and composer, an imposing actor, a talented director, a bright leader and founder of the groups "Sunset of the Sun manually", "Postscriptum (P.S.)", "Brigada S" and "Untouchables". This man is talented in everything. He can go on stage with Philip Kirkorov and sing "Freedom to Angela Davis!", play an angel in a movie, make a movie about midlife crisis. For his many fans, he still remains Garik Sukachev, despite the fact that in 2019 he turns 60 years old. Although he himself prefers to be addressed as Igor Ivanovich.
Childhood and youth of Garik Sukachev
The future rock musician was born on December 1, 1959 in a small village in the Moscow region, which today is part of the ZAO of Moscow (1). His father, who went through the war, worked for many years as an engineer at a factory. His mother, who had been in a Nazi concentration camp, knew how to enjoy every moment of life. This quality was passed on to the boy.
When Igor went to school, the family moved to live in Tushino. At that time, this working-class suburb was one of the most crime-ridden neighborhoods. Like most local boys, Igor grew up under the influence of the street. He was attracted by the blatant romance. But studying at school, as well as playing the accordion, which he learned at the insistence of his father, the future celebrity was not interested at all. Igor's only passion was a six-string guitar.
After school, Garik entered the railroad technical school. Here he first became interested in learning, received a diploma and began to seriously consider a career as a civil engineer. However, the passion for music was stronger. Abandoning everything, Sukachev submitted documents to the Lipetsk Culture and Education School for the department of theater directing.
Path to popularity
Garik created his first band, called "Sunset by hand" back in 1977. Unfortunately, the group never gained widespread popularity. Having recorded only one tape album, after 6 years it broke up. On its basis Sukachev together with Evgeny Khavtan organized a new team, calling it "Postscriptum (P.S.)", and released a collection of songs "Don't Be Despondent!". In such a composition the collective existed for a very short time. After Garik left, Eugene renamed it to "Bravo". (1)
Around the same time Sukachev made acquaintance with Sergei Galanin. This event became a turning point in the creative biography of the musician. Together the young people created the group "Brigade C", which brought them the desired popularity.
Having received a diploma in directing, Garik Sukachev begins to actively act in movies. At first, the roles were small. Truly famous in this field, the musician became famous after the whole group "Brigade C" was invited to participate in the filming of the movie "Tragedy in the style of rock". It was followed by work in other films: "Lost in Siberia", "Sky in Diamonds", "Fatal Eggs", "Attraction".
However, in the first place for the artist remained music. After winning the annual festival "Rock Christmas tree" "Brigade-S" began to tour extensively and soon joined the ranks of the most notable rock bands of the time. Garik gave a lot of effort and time to creativity, but despite this, the group ceased to exist.
Sukachev's new project is "Untouchables". Regularly touring the country and neighboring countries, the collective gains incredible popularity among listeners. Each new album of the group gives listeners new hits, including:
- "Water me with water";
- "Rambling, Rambling, Rambling";
- "The Smallest Sound";
- "My grandmother smokes a pipe."
Along with the work in "Untouchables", Garik Sukachev sings solo a lot. His creative bank is replenished with such compositions as "Behind the window the month of May", "I recognize my sweetheart's gait", recordings "Front Album" and "Poetica".
The musician did not forget about his specialty, received at the school. Completely unexpectedly for many, he acted as a director. His first work was the movie "Midlife Crisis", directed together with Ivan Okhlobystin. The soundtrack was written by Sukachev himself. A few years later, he directed the war film "Holiday" and the film "House of the Sun", which is considered his most iconic work in the field of cinema.
Personal life
About his personal life Sukachev tries not to spread. In conversations on this topic, he prefers to guffaw, claiming that he is married to work.
In fact, the musician has a family. With his only wife, Garik Sukachev met when he was 16 years old. Before getting married, the young met for 8 years. Olga became the closest person for Igor, their family relationship can be called ideal. The spouses have two children - an adult son Alexander and a schoolgirl daughter Anastasia. They carry the surname of their mother, as the musician does not want the fame and rumors about his person somehow reflected on his loved ones.
