Anacondaz is a well-known Russian band working in the genres of alternative rap and rapcore. The musicians themselves, who skillfully mix hip-hop and rock, call their style pauzern rap. The main thing of "Anacondas" is soulful, often sarcastic tracks, filled with frank banter and seasoned with strong words. Thanks to them the guys managed to find their niche and gain popularity among a wide range of listeners.
History of creation and composition of the band
The band Anacondaz was formed in Astrakhan in 2009, although attempts to create it were made six years before that. The musicians do not like to talk about the beginning of their creative biography, believing that there is nothing unusual in it.
As for the name of the collective, there are several variants of its appearance. In some interviews the musicians claim that it is a reference to the English band Gorillaz, in others - the result of urban psycholiricism. Sometimes the name is even associated with the band's vocalist's childhood fondness for dandy consoles.
At the time of the collective's creation in 2009, Anacondaz consisted of:
- Artem (Ortem) Khorev - recitative;
- Sergey (Sega) Karamushkin - recitative, vocals;
- Ilya (Mad Dog) Pogrebnyak - guitarist, backing vocals;
- Evgeny (Evgeny) Formanenko - bass guitar;
- Zhanna (Red) Dare - keyboards;
- Alexander (Cherkasyan) Cherkasov - drums;
- Timur (Mayor of Buryatia) Yesetov - samples.
After some time some of the members left the band. Zhanna was the first to leave, two years later Cherkasyan left. Instead of him Alexey (Proff) Nazarchuk sat behind the drums. In 2020 he left Anacondaz. Almost at the same time Timur Evsetov left the band. Evgeny Stadnichenko became the new drummer of the band. Together with Khorev, Karamushkin, Pogrebnyak and Formanenko he plays until now.
The band's creative portfolio, discography and clips
The musicians recorded their debut album called "Smachnye nishtyaki" in 2009. It included 11 tracks. The main hit among them was the composition "Five Fingers".
After the release of the disk, the guys seriously thought about moving. They realized that if they stayed in their native Astrakhan, they would not achieve real success. The musicians unanimously chose Moscow as their new home.
In the capital they plunged headlong into a new life, got acquainted with other artists. Soon after the move, wanting to share their impressions of what was happening, the band members released a mini-album "Evolution". It turned out to be quite successful. Four songs out of five were unconditionally added to the list of Anacondaz hits.
A year later, the second full album "Anacondaz" - "Children and Rainbow" - was released. After that, new records of the group began to appear with enviable constancy:

- 2015 - "Insider's Tales";
- 2017 - "Marry Me."
- 2018 - "I'll Never You."
Replenished the creative portfolio of the collective and several dozen videos shot on the most iconic Anacondaz tracks. These include:

Among other things, Anacondaz often appears on guest verses with other collectives and performers. The most fruitful was the cooperation with Noize MC, Karandash, the groups "Tarakany!", Animal Jazz.
Public position of musicians
During their creative activity, Anacondaz musicians managed to win popularity and the hearts of millions of fans. This is evidenced by the fact that most of the group's albums were recorded on donations from fans. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of rubles were collected in record time.
The secret of such popularity lies in the honesty and directness of the lyrics, as well as in the public position of musicians. They are not afraid to openly express their attitude to the events taking place in Russia and around the world. It is not surprising that both the work of Anacondaz and the band members themselves are the object of close attention from the authorities. In 2022, the band was banned for their anti-war stance. Their concerts began to be postponed and even frankly disrupted.
Anacondaz now
Despite the persecution, the musicians are not going to change their principles. Instead of performing in Russia, they organize tours outside of it. Anacondaz songs are liked by the public, concerts are held with constant success. Musicians even regret that they did not play in these cities and countries before or did not do it so often.
Now Anacondaz are writing new songs, preparing for concerts abroad.

- Artem Khoreyev and Sergey Karamushkin are childhood friends. They have known each other since they were 6 years old. In his youth, Sega had to survive a robbery attack after his own concert.
- The band's logo is a raccoon, which the musicians consider a daring, willful, but cute animal.
Despite their hooligan image, Anacondaz band members are quiet people in their personal lives, many of them have families.
