Diskoteka Avariya is a musical group with a 20-year history, which created dance music with cheerful, uncomplicated lyrics. Over time, the band's repertoire was replenished with compositions in the pop genre. The group has received many awards over the years. In its piggy bank: "Muz-TV" award, MTV Russia Music Awards, "Song of the Year", "Golden Gramophone" and others.
The first members and the beginning of the creative way
The group "Diskoteka Avariya" appeared in the early 90s. But the participants started their musical creativity two years earlier. Initially, they worked on DJ sets. The founders of the collective - Kolya Timofeev and Lesha Ryzhov - knew each other since their student days. They studied at the same university and played in KVN. The creative tandem begins its activity with disco in the local club and institute. During one of the performances, the name of the collective was invented. In the student club the light went out. Those present were starting to panic. To calm the people down, one of the DJs tried to defuse the situation with a joke: "Calm down! We are Disco Avariya!".
Later, the guys were offered jobs at the local radio and Europa-plus station. They made reviews of musical compositions and created remixes of popular hits of that period. The name "Diskoteka Avariya" was left for the program. In the discography of artists appeared and the first own compositions, but there was no money for professional equipment and their recording.
In 1992, Oleg Zhukov joined the tandem. The new member quickly became a part of the collective. The guys appeared in public more and more often, and the amount of song material grew rapidly. Since the mid 90's regularly released compilations with novelties of dance music. When choosing compositions, musicians were guided by the popularity of hits. In 1997, the group presented a debut album called "Dance with Me". It included such famous songs as:
After that the first line-up of the group was formed. The trio was joined by another "crash" - Lesha Serov. The guys worked for 5 years in this line-up. During this time a lot of hits were recorded. Composition "New Year" with a bright, colorful clip was positively received by fans. All-Russian fame was brought to the musicians by cover versions of the songs "You threw" and "I will not soon forget you" (Lyapis Trubetskoy).
New stage and further development
By the end of the 90's the musicians had a lot of developments in their collection, which were waiting for their time. That's why in 1999 the band released 2 albums "Song about you and me" and "Marathon". A year later the collective presented to the light another record "Avariya vs!". The albums contained the group's songs and remixes of popular compositions of the time. The guys recorded cover versions of compositions by such groups as "Beetles", "Mumiy Troll", "Glittering".
In 2001, the most successful album in the history of the collective was released. It was called "Maniacs". It included 11 compositions and a bonus for listeners - "New Year's". The hit "Zakolebalal you" brought musicians one of the most prestigious awards in the domestic arena - "Golden Gramophone". "Х. H. H. H. I. R. N. R." and the song "Sky" became maxi-singles. They held the top positions in the hit parades for a long time. And the video clip for the composition "Sky" was marked the best according to "Muz-TV".
In 2002, a tragic event occurs. Oleg Zhukov dies because of cancer. In memory of the musician, a video for the song Disco Superstar was released. The last video with his participation - "On sharp attacks". "Avariyats" did not even start looking for a new musician. According to the guys, it is impossible to replace Oleg in the collective. In this regard, the group took a break in its activities and disappeared from the stage for a while.
Return of "Accidentals"
In 2006, the musicians presented a new collection, which was called "Four Guys". Compositions "Opa" and "If you want to stay" brought the guys music awards. The second one became a radio hit of the year. The collective received the "Sounds of Gold" award for achievements in music. The song "Malinki" with Zhanna Friske brought them prizes for the best video and duet according to "Muz-TV". Every year from 2008 to 2010 the group was honored at prestigious music ceremonies. During this period, it received awards:
- "Radio hit of the year";
- "Best Dance Project".
In 2010 the group was nominated for the title "Pop Group of the Year". And in 2011 a new album "No Child's Time" was released. It included their own songs and a cover of the composition "Will and Reason" (performed by "Aria"). The members of the group took part in the filming of the comedy "Pregnant" and the musical movie "Aladdin", which gathered a large number of stars of domestic show business.
In 2012, there are changes in the composition of "Accidentals". The group leaves the soloist Nikolai Timofeev. After 22 years of work, he thought about a solo career. After a court case, all rights to the songs went to the author Ryzhov, and Nikolai could not perform them at his concert. A few months after Timofeev's departure, the musicians take in the team a graduate of the Ukrainian project "X-factor", soloist Anna Khokhlova. In the new composition "Diskoteka Avariya" released the album "Girl behind the wheel".
In 2016, the musical group presented to the world a joint work with the domestic pop king Philip Kirkorov - the song "Bright I". Then the video for the song "My Love" was released. And the video for the composition "Moher", recorded with the group "Khlib" gained more than 1 million views on YouTube.
In 2017, a grand concert "Come on, Avariya!" took place. The program included old hits of the group and new songs. Among the latest works of the collective is the song "Fantazer" with Nikolai Baskov, the track Welcome to Russia (aimed at supporting the national soccer team of the Russian Federation) and the dance track "Coach". Today Diskoteka Avariya gives solo concerts and participates in musical programs dedicated to the 90s and 2000s.
