"Gorod 312" (Gorod 312) - pop-rock band, which can be safely called "veterans of the Russian variety". They have been on stage for more than 18 years and during this time they have released more than a dozen hits, gave thousands of concerts, traveled to all cities of the country and neighboring countries. A separate page in their creative biography should be highlighted writing soundtracks to movies. Many compositions that sounded in the movie, later became hits. And it is unknown whether those movie works would have been so successful if the musical accompaniment had been written by other performers. 4 studio and 2 live albums - it is difficult to call their discography superproductive. But at the same time each composition and arrangement is worked out in detail. "City 312" has always emphasized the quality of sound, not the number of recorded songs. Therefore, they are so loved and appreciated by fans.
The group sings in the genre of pop-rock. They do not use pop motifs, electronics, dance and other trends that are popular among young people today. The collective adheres to its own style, believing that it is unacceptable for good artists to rush from one genre to another in an attempt to reach the largest audience.
Formation process and composition
The history of the band begins in 2001. The original lineup included 4 people. But after moving to Moscow, one of the members almost immediately left the team. His place was taken by a girl Masha. For all the time of the collective's existence they had only a few replacements of musicians, the main vocalist remained unchanged.
The current composition looks as follows:
- Aya (Sveta Nazarenko) - soloist. She is a professional performer who has a conservatory (vocal class) in her baggage. She has a unique voice that allows her to sing rock, rock and roll, and jazz;
- Dim (Dmitry Pritula) - keyboardist, backing vocalist, songwriter. Graduate of the conducting and choir faculty. Was at the origins of the creation of the group "City 312";
- Masha (Masha Pritula) - guitarist. In the past - choreographer. Wife of the keyboardist of the same group;
- Leon (Leonid Pritula) - bass guitarist, backing vocalist. One of the founders of the collective. Virtuoso plays guitar, sings superbly, writes songs;
- Nick (Leonid Nikonov) - drums. Before coming to "City 312" played in the musical group "Salvador";
- Sasha (Alexander Ilchuk) - guitarist, author of compositions and music. He joined the team in 2010. He is an excellent guitarist, graduated from the conservatory.
Having united, the young musicians thought over the name of the band for a long time. The first version was "Mangra", but then they decided to be named in honor of the capital of Kyrgyzstan - the city of Bishkek. The numbers "312" are the telephone code of this locality.
The first popularity came to the group in their native Kyrgyzstan. Aya at that time was a very famous singer, often performed, but for the sake of the project left her solo career. Having conquered their homeland, they came to Moscow, hoping for a great future. And their expectations were justified.
Peak of popularity
The capital of Russia met them very cool: no one was interested in their creativity, production companies were in no hurry to conclude a contract with them. But the persistence and adventurism of the young performers did not fade away. They independently distributed their records on TV channels and radio stations, sent their compositions to all studios.
The first success awaited them during the festival "Rainbow of talents" in 2003. After that they were lucky to perform at several festivals and concerts. At that period drummer Igor Javad-Zadeh joined the band. Before that he had managed to work in Zemfira's team, in "A-Studio", "Nautilus Pompilius". This experience helped the band to move a step forward.
After a long search the band managed to sign a contract with the Real-Records recording company. In 2005 their first composition "213 Roads" was released. But the nationwide popularity and recognition they received after the release of the song "Stay", which became the soundtrack to the movie "Night Watch". Then not only Russia, but also other countries of the post-Soviet space learned about "City 312".
The wave of success overwhelmed the band. After the first not too successful album, the second - "Out of Access" - caused a real flurry of emotions. Compositions from this record sounded everywhere: from TV screens, on radio stations, and the tracks processed by DJs simply tore up dance floors.
The next album "Turn Around", which was released in 2007, was no less popular. The band bathed in the rays of fame: they toured extensively in the CIS countries, USA, Europe, gathered stadiums and large concert halls, performed at prestigious events in the world of music. Their band has been honored with many awards, including "Golden Gramophone", "Breakthrough of the Year", "Discovery of the Year", "Record",
"Muz-TV", as well as repeated victories in the nominations "Best Song", "Best Album", "Best Soundtrack", "Best Debut".
A lot of time the artists devote to writing soundtracks for various movies. Today in their creative biography about 15 works of this genre. They are able to penetrate deeply into the film, feel the mood and accurately emphasize the idea of the director.
In 2011, the group made their movie debut - they starred in the movie "8 First Dates". The following year, the team repeated this feat, shining in two films at once: "Belovodie. The Secret of the Lost Country" and "The Dark World: Equilibrium". In both projects, they appeared in the role of cameos. In 2016, the group could also be seen in the popular sitcom "Univer. New dorm."
Today, "City 312" slightly slowed down: they less often release new records, they are not often heard on the radio. At the same time, the group does not stop giving concerts, recording soundtracks to new movies, working hard and improving. It is known that they are already preparing to release the next album. The band members are convinced that they are "still just climbing to the top of the musical Olympus". As to whether they will be able to climb there, you can find out from the catalog of artists on the website kontramarka.de.
