"Vintazh" (Vintazh) is a Russian pop band, which is known for such hits as "Eve", "Loneliness of Love", "Sign of Aquarius" and, of course, "Bad Girl". On stage they are incendiary, daring and provocative, and in music videos they are passionate and seductive. The soloist of the group, who led the collective and brought it the greatest fame, Anna Pletneva, is the undisputed owner of the title "sex symbol" and is not shy to show off her perfect forms.
Musical Group Artik & Astikollective performs in the genre of Euro-pop. At the same time, the artists often dilute it with different entries. In some songs you can hear notes of electronics, classics, psychedelic pop. Many compositions are attributed to the style of dance, and they are often played in clubs and discos.
History of creation
In 2006 on a Moscow road there was a small accident: two cars collided. Anna Pletneva, the former lead singer of the famous group "Lyceum", was driving one of them. In the second car was Alexei Romanov, author of many songs and arranger. Young people did not begin to clarify relations and search for the guilty, and called traffic police officers. But while they arrived, the artists had already managed to come to an agreement. And not about compensation for damages, but about the creation of a new musical project. They decided to organize a new pop group. From that day and began their productive work, which brought both artists incredible fame and recognition of listeners.
The composition of the group
The first members of the musical collective were Anna Pletneva, Alexei Romanov and Olga Berezutskaya, known to the public under the pseudonym "Mia".
Anna at the time of the creation of the group was known as an ex-soloist of "Lyceum". The girl had excellent vocal data, danced well, was artistic and very attractive. Her musical career at that time was not going through the best of times. She was in search, and it is quite logical that any attempt to realize herself was received positively.
Alexei was little known to the audience. His participation in the group "Amega" did not bring nationwide popularity. But he became famous as a composer - he wrote lyrics for Alsu, Yulia Savicheva, "Nepara".
Mia became the final puzzle in this trio: her absolute hearing and ability to "sing in the language of movements" added uniqueness and originality to the group.
With this line-up, the band's history began to be written.
Musical career
After the "fatal collision" Pletneva and Romanov closed themselves in the studio for six months. They thought up a name, searched for their own style, wrote songs, made trial recordings. August 31, 2006 is considered to be the official date of the band's creation. On that day they announced that the newly formed band had prepared half of the album and had already started shooting the debut video for the composition Mama mia.
For the first time they sounded on the radio station "Europe Plus". The song did not become the leader of the hit parades, but was highly appreciated by listeners. But the following tracks - "All the best" and "Aim" reached the music charts. The first released album "Criminal Love" was a stunning commercial success. Quality arrangement, original presentation, unique sound and original style won millions. The run of 100,000 copies was completely sold out, and the album was placed on the 13th position in the ranking of the most purchased in 2005-2009.
It was a real success. "Vintage" sounded on all radio stations, TV channels played their clips, artists were invited to concerts. Soon they began to tour extensively, combining tours with work on a new album.
In 2008-2009 they became even more popular. A joint video with Elena Korikova for the composition "Bad Girl" exploded the world of show business. The scandalous video was not broadcast by all TV channels because of "too explicit scenes". But the audience just went crazy. The band topped the TopHit 100 radio chart, gained the status of "the sexiest band", and received an award in the category "Sex" at the MTV Russia Music Awards. Almost every subsequent song immediately went to the top of the charts and stayed there for several weeks. For example, the song "Eva" held the top of the radio chart for more than two months, becoming the band's most successful hit.
In 2008 there was a replacement in "Vintage": Mia left the band. She was replaced by no less graceful and plastic dancer Svetlana Ivanova.
In the following years the pop group regularly updated its creative biography with new masterpieces: Victoria, "Lunatic Girls", "Mickey", "Loneliness of Love", "Roman". These songs became popular not only on the territory of Russia, but also far beyond its borders.
Incredible success and love of the public accompanied the collective throughout its existence. But in 2016, Anna Pletneva announced the beginning of a solo career and left "Vintage". Her place was taken at once by four new soloists:
- Anastasia Kazaku;
- Anastasia Kreskina;
- Anna Kornilieva;
- Evgenia Polikarpova.
The girls at that time already had some experience in the musical sphere. Kazaku participated in the show "Voice", sang in a children's group, Kreskina received a musical education and unsuccessfully stormed the castings, Kornilieva - independently recorded songs and already had several clips, Polikarpova performed at the festival "New Wave", tried her hand at the "Star Factory".
In the new composition of the group existed less than a year. They released a successful single, shot a music video, gave several concerts. But without Anna Pletneva, "Vintage" was not the same.
In early 2018, there were rumors about Anna's return. She performed with Romanov, but under the name - "Anna Pletneva "Vintage"." Under the same name, they went on a small tour.
The intrigue around the reunion of the collective did not last long. Soon there was an official statement of Pletneva that two albums are being prepared at once: one solo for her, the other for the group "Vintage".
Today, the team of the musical collective is preparing a replenishment of the discography - is actively working on the preparation of the next album. Its preliminary title is "Babylon".
