Zveri is a nine–time winner of the title of "Best Rock Band". This band has proved many times over the 19 years on stage that it has no equal. Performing in the pop and rock genres, the guys have collected and continue to collect entire stadiums and full concert halls. Their songs were at the top of absolutely all the charts of the country. The live performances of the team are always driving, incendiary and unique. And concert tickets fly away in a matter of minutes. Over a long period of creative activity, they have constantly changed and improved. "School Rock", performed at the beginning of his career, turned into lyrical rock ballads with deep meaning and professional arrangement. And today their enthusiasm is not fading. The band regularly releases new songs, shoots music videos, and writes movie soundtracks.
The history of creation and the star cast
Roma is a Beast, and in real life Roman Bilyk is the founder of the group and its permanent leader. A young guy from Taganrog has dreamed of being a musician since childhood. After school, he enrolled in a construction college. And after receiving his diploma, he went to conquer the capital. But Moscow did not greet him very kindly: at first the guy was interrupted by small part-time jobs, worked in a museum, was a nightclub security guard. All this time, he did not stop looking for opportunities to break into the scene: he wrote songs, made acquaintances, tried to realize his potential.
In 2000, he met Alexander Voitinsky and presented his works to him. This meeting became a landmark for Roman. The producer liked the compositions, and soon it was decided to create a new project. We found other musicians on the Internet. This is how the rock band "Beasts" was born.
The first line-up of the group looked like this:

Konstantin Labetsky – bass player;
Kirill Antonenko is a keyboard player.
Since 2003, Maxim Leonov, who sang backing vocals and played lead guitar, has performed with them, and since 2006, Alexey Lyubchik has played bass. In 2007, Vyacheslav Zarubov sat down at the keys. The last replacement of the participants took place in 2016: Kirill Afonin (bass guitar), German "Albanian" Osipov (lead guitar) and Valentin Tarasov (drums) joined the band.
The creativity of the group
After months of productive work in the studio, the novice team was able to loudly declare itself. Their first work, the composition "For You", was a real breakthrough. They entered the rotation of the best radio stations, and the clip began to be played on all music channels of the country. The fame just fell on the "Beasts", and each new song became a real hit. The guys recorded their debut album called "Hunger" in collaboration with the reputable NavigatorRecords label.
Already in early 2004, they went on a big tour of Russia and neighboring countries. Each of their concerts became a real event, because the band turned the audience on from the first notes and charged them with drive to the last song. The fans, in turn, knew all the hits by heart and accompanied the performances with choral singing. "Just such a strong love" and "Rain pistols" became the business card of the "Beasts". These songs were placed at the top of the charts and stayed there for weeks. The next album "Districts-quarters" repeated the success of the first one. In the same year, they starred in the film "Words and Music" in a cameo role. In 2005, they participated in the selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, but did not pass.
The third album "When we're Together, no One is Cooler" was slightly different from the previous ones. The music became a little "heavier", indie rock motifs were traced. Critics' opinions differed: some accused the band of losing their individuality, others noted the high quality of the new sound. But despite this, the live concerts of the "Beasts" turned into an incendiary performance and spectacular shows.
In 2007, there were rumors that Roma was going to start a solo career. The artist did not comment on these statements in any way. A short pause in the creative biography of the band ended in 2008. Then the new album "Further" was released, which was remembered by all such songs as "I'm with you", "You", "Brunettes and blondes", "Tram", "Speak", "Bye". The fans had hope for the revival of the former "Beasts", and it was justified. The musicians plunged into the workflow with renewed vigor: recording songs, concerts, shooting music videos.
In 2011, the discography was expanded with the record "Muses". It consisted of 12 tracks, both fresh and well–known tracks. This album marked the beginning of a new stage in the band's work. They changed the youth-adolescent theme to a more mature and deep sound. They celebrated their anniversary in the same year. And they did it on a huge scale – they gave a grand concert at the Ice Palace and the Olympic Sports Complex.
The next record, "One on One", featured a ballad style. The melancholic nature of the compositions, deep lyrics and light aggression became the main concept of the renewed band. The musicians tried to keep up with the times, experimented with the arrangement, and looked for new selves. They recorded soundtracks for TV series and movies, shot music videos. Roma auditioned for the role of producer.
The history of the group "Beasts" is full of bright moments. These are the ups of popularity, and periods of calm, and prestigious awards, and scandals, of which there were many on their way. Most often, the reason for misunderstandings and proceedings was their firm position to sing live. The band does not accept phonograms, and when the situation obliged them to perform under the "plywood", the musicians sometimes did not restrain their dissatisfaction. They smashed guitars, gave the audience the middle finger, defiantly remained silent on stage – such a protest is typical of true rock performers. But even after such antics, fans did not love the "Animals" any less.
The band was criticized many times: they were accused of imitation, of an "indefinite" style of music, bad behavior on stage, youthful maximalism in the lyrics. Nevertheless, the band has a whole army of fans, which is the best assessment of creativity for the artists.
The last studio album "There is no Fear" was released in 2016. But the "Beasts" did not break up, they just changed the format and switched to releasing mini-albums. They regularly delight fans with their new compositions, often come to various TV shows and radio broadcasts. The band members are reluctant to talk about their personal lives and do not take it out in public. It is only known that Roman Bilyk is married to model Marina Koroleva and has two daughters.
