Childhood and youth of the comedian
By nationality, Guram is a Yezidi. His ancestors, repeatedly subjected to persecution and genocide because of their faith, were forced to leave their historical homeland and move to Tbilisi. It was there in August 1993 that the future comedian was born.
The boy's father was a drummer, he performed a lot in Russia and was very rarely at home. To be able to live together with his wife and children, the man decided to take them to himself. First the family moved to Novosibirsk, later - to Nizhny Novgorod. Here the comedian and spent his childhood.
Guram grew up an obedient child and did not trouble the elders. The main hobby in adolescence for him was KVN. At first Guram played for the school team, later became its captain. He really liked to write jokes. However, Guram Amaryan did not think about the career of a comedian yet.
After graduating from school, the young man started studying at the financial faculty of Nizhny Novgorod University. But he failed to become a tax expert. Being a student, Guram continued to play KVN. At one of the performances he was noticed by the producers of the Ukrainian show "Ridiculous Comedian" and offered to take part in the program. This performance turned out to be a turning point in the creative biography of Guram Amaryan. The debut was more than successful. Guram managed not only to make the venerable comedians laugh, but also to become the winner of the project. And most importantly, he finally realized that no taxes and diplomas will not replace the opportunity to make puns from the stage and hear the laughter of the audience. The choice in favor of creativity was finally made.
The next step on the way to success was participation in the "Comedy Battle" on TNT channel. On the program, the artist appeared as part of the duet "Sophia-Alesha", but to go further than the second stage failed.
Guram was not particularly upset and decided that now he will perform solo. His first attempt to try himself in the standup genre was his performance at one of the theme nights in Nizhny Novgorod. The comedian still remembers how nervous he was during the reading of the monologue. However, the audience liked the humor of the novice artist Guram Amaryan, and the guy decided to move in this direction further.
Soon he became a resident of Nizhny Novgorod stand-up club. A little later again decided to try his luck on TNT and came to the TV show "Open Microphone". Guram got into the team of Ruslan White and even reached the finals. He did not manage to become a winner, but the humorist was noticed and invited to TNT as an author. He became one of the residents of the show Stand Up. For 7 seasons of the project Guram appeared in thirty episodes.
At the same time, he participated as a guest or presenter in other TV and YouTube projects. Among them - "Prozharka", "What happened next?", "Reshaly", "People vs. stars", "Exes".
