One has yet to find a multi-instrumentalist of this level in Russia.
Childhood and early years
Vladimir Borisovich was born on May 31, 1955 in Moscow. His mother was an English teacher, his father served in the Marine Corps. In the family grew up two more children - a younger son Alexander and an older daughter Irina.
Soon after Vladimir's birth, the family had to leave the capital and go to the small village of Pechenga (Murmansk region). There they lived for several years and moved to the BSSR in the town of Bykhovo, where Vova went to the first grade. The boy was an excellent student, an example for other pupils. After classes he loved to play soccer with his friends. From his father he adopted a passion for motorcycles. But the true love from a small age for him was music. He devoted his whole life to it.
Parents knew that Vladimir dreamed of being a musician, so they gave him to a music school. At first, the guy was shy even in the yard to appear with a violin. But frequent moves and change of educational institutions contributed to the fact that the young man loosened up and mastered the piano and electric guitar. This "nomadic" way of life also allowed him to listen to quality music from Britain, Sweden and Norway. Living on the border, he often caught foreign radio waves. Fascination with the work of foreign performers contributed to the formation of his own style. In the future his songs will sound rock, jazz, blues, synthpop with a harmonious vein of romances and ballads.
At the age of 12, Volodya organized his first rock band. A couple of years later the guys sang not only at school events, but also at city venues. At the same time he began to compose his first songs.
The next stage in the biography of the singer was the railway institute. But he studied there for a short time - only two courses. The young man realized that life is worth devoting to his favorite cause - music. Then he applied to the Dnepropetrovsk music school. During his studies, Kuzmin mastered the flute, piano and saxophone.
Having received a diploma, Vladimir took a course to conquer the big stage. And slowly but surely, he conquered it.
Creative way
In 1997, the future rock star joined the group "Hope". He gained a lot of professional stage experience, being a guitarist. There he also began to sing. The talented guy was immediately noticed and enticed into the popular at the time collective "Samotsveti".
There the debutant played only one year, but he had enough time to study the internal specifics of the group, as well as to improve his musical and vocal skills. A big role in the formation of the singer played Vladimir Presnyakov senior, who helped to develop his own style.
The next stage was participation in the collective "Carnival". This project was the brainchild of two gifted musicians - Vladimir Kuzmin and Alexander Barykin. They began to sing songs that had already been stored for several years in the "storerooms" of Kuzmin and waited for their presentation. The group quickly became popular, because it was not similar to other projects. It traced a certain originality and a new musical direction.
A year later, the collective released the debut album "Superman". It was very successful and instantly brought fame and nationwide love. In 1981, an unforgettable musical event in the history of the USSR happened: the country saw the first minion with the inscription "rock band". It contained three songs from the album. The circulation was sold out within a few days. It was a real breakthrough with a subtle flavor of scandalousness and prohibition.
After such success, the band went on tour. But the group began to change members frequently, there were disagreements and conflicts. As a result, they broke up.Some time later, under the name "Carnival" began to perform solo Alexander Barykin.
And then there was "Dynamik". Kuzmin created the group in 1982. Thanks to great experience and talent, he managed to gather a team of incredible musicians. They received recognition already after the release of the first compositions. Soon they became sought-after artists who were invited to concerts, festivals. The guys went on tour throughout Russia, gathering full halls. In their songs were different styles: jazz, blues, rock and roll and even reggae motifs. They were a novelty on the domestic muzplatform, so they aroused extraordinary interest of listeners.
But "Dynamik" didn't last long. In 1983 they were forced to disband the band because of a strong anti-rock policy. But after the announcement of the breakup of the group, the performances continued. Kuzmin simply sang solo accompanied by accompanying musicians. So they managed to maintain their popularity. The guys toured a lot, gathering full stadiums. This was the beginning of a great solo career of Vladimir Kuzmin.
In the world of music, the singer was also characterized by versatility and constant improvement. In 1986-1987, he performed ballads, lyrical compositions. The reason for this was cooperation and romantic relations with Alla Pugacheva. At that time, the musician recorded the album "My Love", performed in her theater, composed lyrics for her and often sang in duets.
In 1987 Vladimir revived "Dynamik" and brought back the former glory. The next three years were the most productive in his creative biography. 1991-1992 he spent in the USA, where he sang in clubs and recorded two albums in English. And then he returned to Russia again and continued his solo career. He created his own music studio, added the best albums to his discography, shot music videos and released hits one after another. Kuzmin received the titles of "People's" and "Honored Artist of Russia" and to this day continues to please fans of his creativity with amazing compositions.
Personal life
Vladimir Kuzmin was married three times. The first wife was Tatiana Artemyeva, who gave birth to three children. The second was an American woman Kelly Curzon. The third wife was Ekaterina Trofimova. For some time he lived in a civil marriage with Vera Sotnikova. And also never hid romantic relations with Alla Pugacheva. Charismatic, intelligent and handsome singer in his 64 has not ceased to enjoy success among women.
