Event description

On December 4, two of the most outstanding artists of the new generation will perform at the Berlin Philharmonie - Dubai-based singer Yana Mann and cellist Arseniy Chubachin. The two musicians will present the unique program "Merging the Epochs: Classical and Contemporary."

Yana Mann is an internationally recognized singer, songwriter, producer and multidisciplinary artist known for her extraordinary fusion of classical master techniques with contemporary, innovative soundscapes. Her art is deeply rooted in classical traditions, yet she strives to collaborate with modern artists and skillfully weaves performative elements into her work. Her work covers a wide range - from minimalist compositions to the acclaimed EP "Esperanza". Highlights of her career include her acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall, the release of "Esperanza" in collaboration with Demayä and ARKADYAN, and a spectacular performance at the top of the Eiffel Tower with DJ Michael Canitrot. This iconic event, broadcast on French television with the support of UNESCO, demonstrated Yana's ability to combine classical technique, deep emotion and experimental art, redefining the boundaries of music and performance. Her performances are characterized by expressive depth, sensuality and theatricality.

On December 4, she will perform the cycle Poemas de Bar, Op. 12 by the minimalist New York composer Julián De La Chica. This music reflects on the human condition and captures the sincere emotions and fleeting moments of connection that arise in the quiet hours of the night. Poemas de Bar transports us into intimate conversations that take place in a New York bar after 3am. The world premiere of the cycle took place at Carnegie Hall in 2022.

Arseniy Chubachin is an outstanding cello virtuoso whose technical skill, temperament and artistic personality have been recognized many times by renowned international juries. His performances are characterized by energy and all-encompassing passion, drawing enthusiastic applause from even the most reserved audiences. Chubachin possesses an extraordinary charisma and masterful technique. He mesmerizes audiences, and his lively, emotional performances and attentive interaction with the audience form the basis of his continued success, which is due to his extraordinary talent. Chubachin performs in prestigious halls, including the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Prinzregententheater and the Herkulessaal in Munich and the Rudolfinum Hall in Prague. He regularly performs with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra in the Philharmonie and won the gold medal at the III. International Berlin Competition. Chubachin works with renowned musicians such as V. Repin, Y. Bashmet, D. Lozakovich, P. Osetinskaya, D. Trifonov, Y. Lezhneva and A. Ghindin.

The programs selected by Arseniy underline his unconventional, courageous approach and his impressive artistic ambitions, which are based on the great role models. In the Berlin Philharmonie, the musician will perform the "Adagio" by Bach-Marcello, the Sonata by Franck and excerpts from the cycle "The Seasons" by A. Vivaldi.
