Boris Grebenshchikov (BG), legendary Russian singer, songwriter and poet, is back on tour with his band BG+, performing songs from his latest album, Square Root Sun, alongside timeless classics from his cult band, Aquarium.
A cultural icon in Russia, Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries, BG has been a pioneer of Russian rock for decades. Since his rise to fame in the West in 1986, when Aquarium was featured on "Red Wave," the first compilation of rock music from St. Petersburg, Boris has been dubbed the "Russian Bob Dylan" and compared to the likes of David Bowie and Marc Bolan.
Mixing Western rock, reggae and even Celtic music with Russian roots, BG has broken musical barriers since the Soviet era, and he continues to inspire through his "endless tour" that spans cities across Russia and beyond. BG+ began in March 2022 when Boris Grebenshchikov disbanded Aquarium.
