Since her first appearance in 1812 in the Grimm Brothers' book of fairy tales, "Snow White" has remained a source of inspiration for painting, music, literature, animated films and Hollywood blockbusters. And, of course, for ballet! Like all successful stories, this one is also simple and romantic - it is about beauty, power, envy, jealousy, death and great love, which in the end saves the good guys and defeats the bad guys.
Unlike many other well-known ballet works, "Snow White" is not attributed to just one composer. The fairy tale is always performed freely to different works, sometimes classical, sometimes contemporary. The famous Italian ensemble from Naples dances the romantic story to the immortally beautiful music of the three most famous 19th century Romantics - Johann Strauss, Edward Grieg and Robert Schumann, a delight not only for the eye but also for the ear!
The dancers' top classical ballet training is evident from the very first scenes, which emphasize the fabulous beauty of one of the world's most popular stories. A wonderful stage spectacle, lovingly preserved in its traditional form, but skillfully and carefully balancedwith a pinch of modern choreography and contemporary forms of expression.
