Edvard Radzinsky in Vienna. "Mysteries of History"

History is made by people. The words they spoke, the deeds they did - much is still a mystery. And perhaps it will remain a mystery forever. The mystery of this evening is still hidden from us, as it happens with the maestro. But it will definitely be familiar faces, whose biographies have been described thousands of times. But Radzinsky somehow sees in these biographies a new plot.

Event description

History is made by people. The words they spoke, the deeds they did - much is still a mystery. And perhaps it will remain a mystery forever. The mystery of this evening is still hidden from us, as it happens with the maestro. But it will definitely be familiar faces, whose biographies have been described thousands of times. But Radzinsky somehow sees a new plot in these biographies.

A lot of small details and crazy details are masterfully woven into a new, so complex, so beautiful dramaturgy. An incredible picture of what happened many years ago is unfolding before our eyes. And the veil of mystery is lifted.

Radzinsky begins resolutely, without hesitation, with his "Cheshire" smile, with such familiar intonations. With calibrated pauses, during which in the entire hall can not be heard a murmur or an ochoa. Pauses, interrupted exactly when the breath, synchronously held by the hall, can no longer be held. And magic envelops you right from the very first words - precise, masterfully constructed, now sealed into history, literature, eternity.

Therefore, of course, the audience comes not for a specific topic, but "for Radzinsky". After all, his performance is a unique chance to dive into the past, to feel it, through it to understand the present and - perhaps - to see the future.

Edward Radzinsky is a writer, playwright, author of dozens of plays and screenplays, as well as popular books on Russian history. His books have been translated into English, German, Spanish, Greek and other languages and have become world bestsellers.
