James Blunt celebrates 20 years of "Back to Bedlam" - anniversary edition and German tour 2025

James Blunt made music history with Back to Bedlam. His debut album, released in 2004, catapulted the British singer-songwriter into the international pop Olympus virtually overnight - first and foremost with the smash hit "You're Beautiful", which stormed the charts worldwide. Two decades later, Blunt is now returning to his musical roots and releasing a new edition of the album. At the same time, he is announcing a major tour of Germany for 2025, where fans can experience the legendary album in full and other classics from his career live.

The 20th Anniversary Edition of Back to Bedlam will be released with a freshly remastered version of the original, prepared by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis. But that's not all: the new release also contains unreleased demos of the main songs as well as previously unknown tracks from the time the album was made.

Blunt, who was honored with two Brit Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and five Grammy nominations for his debut, takes the anniversary with his usual British humor: "I've released seven studio albums, but Back to Bedlam was the only one that people really bought. So my label and I thought we should repackage it for the 20th anniversary with a few old demos and exploit it as much as possible."

Whether he succeeds in this charming move and Back to Bedlam can defend its cult status in the 2020s remains to be seen - in any case, the anticipation among his fans is likely to be enormous.
