Event description

More than five decades after the release of their critically acclaimed debut album "Pronounced 'Leh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd", Lynyrd Skynyrd continue to captivate fans across all generations with the same passion they ignited at their first gig in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1973.

Few bands have had such a lasting impact on a generation as Skynyrd. Their life's work is dedicated to honoring those who have enriched the lives of hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Former members Ronnie Van Zant, Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines, Ed King, Billy Powell, Bob Burns and Leon Wilkeson - among others - remain unforgettable architects of an indestructible repertoire and a band history that is as vibrant as it is multifaceted. Today, Lynyrd Skynyrd are on stage with Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Damon Johnson, Mark "Sparky" Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Carol Chase and Stacy Michelle, keeping Southern Rock alive.

The legend is touring relentlessly, and as Johnny Van Zant emphasizes, "It's about the legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd - what the band stands for and what it means to the fans. There are few things more fulfilling than performing with Skynyrd and seeing how much people love this music."

With an oeuvre of over 60 albums, billions of streams, tens of millions of records sold and timeless anthems such as "Sweet Home Alabama", "Gimme Three Steps", "Simple Man" and "Free Bird", the stars of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame stand their ground as cultural icons that connect and inspire generations.
