German premiere of Kim Ki-duk's latest film "Call of God" and a meeting with the crew of the movie "KimKi.DOC"

During the Berlin Film Festival, film lovers are in for a surprise: A. Smolyansky's cycle will show the last film of the famous Korean director Kim Ki-duk, "The Voice of God" (81 min. 2022), completed by his colleagues, for the first time in Germany. During the Berlin Film Festival, film lovers will be in for a surprise: A. ... Love, like a premonition, has come upon a young girl. In her dreams she dreams of meeting her future lover. Starting as a happy accident, their passion grows into something else. In her reverie, the girl undergoes maturity tests. Will she be able to cheat fate in real life?


The shooting of the movie took place in Kyrgyzstan in the summer of 2019. The main roles in this passionate film were played by Janelle Sergazina from Kazakhstan, who conquered the audience of the Venice Film Festival with her charm, and Kyrgyz actor Abylai Maratov.

Kim Ki-duk worked on the movie during his stay in Estonia, but did not have time to finish the movie. A year after his sudden death, filmmakers from Estonia and Lithuania completed the film.

The original music for the movie was composed by maestro Sven Grunberg, with whom Kim Ki-duk intended to make his next movie.

The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September 2022.

Pilot movie for the feature-length project "L'Enfant Terrible". This is a pilot film for the feature-length project "L'Enfant Terrible", which tells about the last years of the life of Korean director Kim Ki-duk, one of the most amazing directors of modern cinematography.

Kim spent the last year of his life in the Baltics, where he was planning the shooting of his next film Clouds, Rain, Snow, Fog, and working on the completion of Calling God, which he filmed in Kyrgyzstan in the summer of 2019.


Kim Ki-duk's sudden death in Latvia in December 2020 from the effects of a covid, was a blow to many.

In this movie, friends and colleagues talk about Kim Ki-duk and his paintings. The film features original archival footage.

Filming took place in Estonia, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, etc.
