Purim is the merriest holiday in the Jewish calendar. It is dedicated to the events that took place in Persia almost 2,5 thousand years ago and are described in the Scroll of Esther. During Purim Jews celebrate the miraculous salvation of the people, which happened thanks to a simple Jewish girl Esther - she became the Persian queen, at a decisive moment showed ingenuity and courage and saved her people from the danger of extermination. On Purim it is customary to organize a feast, where wine pours, wear carnival costumes and show a fun performance - Purimspiel.

Our Purimshpil is a colorful puppet show for adults and children, which tells the story of beautiful Esther, wise Mordechai, evil Haman and fearsome King Ahashverosh in verse and accompanied by music.
