Timur Shaov in Germany. New and the best from 3 to 18 May 2024

The genre in which Timur Shaov performs is difficult to define.

Some call it musical stand-up, others say that Shahov is a "musical Zhvanetsky". Boris Strugatsky compared his work to the songs of Galich and Yuli Kim, and Kim himself - to the songs of Vysotsky and the same Galich. But Shahov is different. His musical format includes author's song and rock'n'roll, romance and ballad, stylisations of urban folklore and national motifs. And all this is imbued with good humour. He is accepted as one of his own at rock festivals and at bardic gatherings.

He has been invited to his programmes by Mikhail Weller and Viktor Topaller, Maxim Galkin and Svetlana Sorokina, he has been interviewed by Dmitry Bykov and Lev Anninsky. The famous music critic Artemy Troitsky dedicated a programme to him on Radio Svoboda. Timur is the winner of such various awards as "Golden Ostap" and "Chanson of the Year", the Prize of the humorous "12 Chairs Club of the Literaturnaya Gazeta" and the Vysotsky Foundation Prize. Timur Shaov is one of the most in-demand authors - he always has a busy touring schedule all over the world.
